Saga tours 2027
For 2027 we offer two tours:
– Medieval Week 2027 Saga Tour (6th of July – 13th of August)
– Classic Saga Tour 2027 (20th – 29th of August)
Medeltidsveckan more than fulfilled our expectations. It was very fun, we felt very safe and enjoyed ourselves immensely. It’s incredible to see how the town and attendees embrace the week from babies to elderly dressing up in costumes.
feel that we received great value for the cost of the tour. We had seven nights in the hotel plus breakfast daily, three fantastic bus trips that each included a mini tour, or in the case of Stavgard – most of a day with all kinds of activities (I mean, the warrior battles!) and either coffee or champagne, a fun lunch or dinner, and the Fire Tournament. Plus precious time with you! (Octavia) I enjoyed getting to know you a bit, hearing about your beloved Gotland and meeting fellow intrepid Saga travelers!
Medieval Week 2027 Saga Tour
6th – 13th of August 2027.
Tour cost, including seven nights at the S:t Clemens hotel with breakfast; Welcome Reception; the day at Stavgard with lunch, two snacks, a copy of Hans Wanneby’s book, “Home of Beowulf”, and all activities; best seats at the Tournament; the trip up to Lickersham with catered lunch at Bläse Limeworks Museum; our Book Club event; visit to the Gotlands Museum and our Farewell Feast there. Luxury motor coach transport to and from Stavgard and Lickersham is included. Price is 50,495 SEK (Use an online currency converter to estimate your cost from your home currency) per person sharing double occupancy, and 63,950 SEK single occupancy. This includes VAT (value added tax) of 25%.
The Supplementary Day Trip to Fårö includes an added night with breakfast at the Hotell S:t Clemens, luxury coach trip to the island of Fårö and lunch at an farmhouse restaurant famed for its food. The additional cost for this excursion bringing the total cost for sharing a double room to 56,060 SEK and 70,975 SEK for a single.
We have 37 spaces available. We understand interest is high, and to make the selection process as fair as possible enrollment will be on a first come, first serve basis. We are accepting deposits per person via credit card of 5,000 SEK (approximately US $550). A secondary payment of 10,000 SEK will be due January 31st 2027. Final payment will be due April 30th, 2027.
If more than 37 deposits are received, an alternates List will be created, in which you may place your name should a registered guest need to withdraw.
Classic Saga Tour 2027
20th to 29th of August 2027.
Tour cost, including nine nights at the S:t Clemens hotel with breakfast; Welcome Reception; guided visit to Gotlands Museum; Tour and Tasting at Gotlands Brewery (including an exclusive showing of the historic landmark “Kapitelhusgården”); 4 full day excursions (North, East, South, and Fårö) including lunch every day; visit to a sheep farm; our Book Club event and Farewell Feast is 50,495 SEK (Use an online currency converter to estimate your cost from your home currency) per person sharing double occupancy, and 63,645 SEK single occupancy. This includes VAT (value added tax) of 25%.

Meeting you and the Saga trip was everything I hoped it would be and much more. I’m truly grateful we were all able to gather to celebrate your lovely Saga and beautiful Gotland. It’s truly a treasured memory for me.
Can’t thank you enough for the opportunity to experience something so unique. I miss my walks in the Botan and around the wall by the Baltic. I miss having Fika at the cafe just outside the East gate, talking to the locals and shopping in beautiful Visby. I must come back as I felt that I had a feeling of Gotland’s welcoming embrace. Booking
Once deposit is paid you will be allocated a place/places on the tour unless the total amount of registrations exceeds 40 people. In that case a lottery will determine if you have a place, and should you be unlucky the full deposit will be refunded.
We accept no responsibility for incorrect email or inability to deliver email. If your confirmation does not arrive on time or at all, then you must ask us to resend the email confirmation.
Insurance
There is no travel insurance cover included in the price of the package.
We take no responsibility for any injuries or loss to you incurred whilst you are taking part in the tour. We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before you travel. We accept no responsibility for the theft, loss or damage to personal belongings from at any time during the duration of your tour.
Cancellation
Cancellation of your booking must be in writing sent by email to niclas@creativegotland.com. When written notification has been received by Creative Gotland a fee of SEK 500 will be levied to cover administration costs. (This fee is not applicable to deposits refunded due to not getting a space on the tour).
If you choose to cancel within 90 days before the start of the tour, no refunds will be granted.
